1. Hosting
This website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestraße 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. When you visit this website, the server automatically records standard log files, including the IP address of the requesting device, date and time of access, and the page visited. This data is processed solely to ensure technical operation and is deleted after a maximum of 7 days. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).
2. Contact Form
When you use the contact form, your name, email address and message are transmitted to us by email. This data is used exclusively to handle your enquiry and is deleted afterwards. No data is passed on to third parties. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
3. Comments
When you leave a comment on this website, WordPress records your name, email address, website (if provided), IP address and browser user agent string. This data is used to identify and prevent spam. Your email address may be converted into an anonymised hash and shared with the Gravatar service to check whether you have a profile picture. Gravatar’s privacy policy is available at automattic.com/privacy. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture (if any) is publicly visible alongside your comment. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
4. Analytics (Umami)
This website uses Umami Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service provided by Umami Software Inc. Umami uses no cookies and does not collect or store personal data. Only aggregated, anonymous statistics are recorded (e.g. page views, device type, referrer). Individual users cannot be identified. Anonymised usage data is transmitted to Umami’s servers. 5. Newsletter (Mailchimp)
This website plans to introduce a newsletter in the future. Once launched, full details of the data processing involved will be added here. Sign-up will be via double opt-in only.
6. Cookies
This website uses no tracking or marketing cookies. WordPress sets technically necessary cookies for logged-in users only (e.g. administrators). No cookies are set for regular visitors.
